Welcome to The Space Between Dogs Companion Resources
This Resource Hub was created as a companion to The Space Between Dogs and is designed to help you deepen your understanding of canine communication, social confidence, and emotional regulation.
My goal is to provide video demonstrations, downloadable guides, case studies, and additional educational content that bring the concepts from the book to life and help you apply them with greater confidence.
As this resource library grows, you'll find practical examples that explore questions such as:
-
Why can a cautious (-3) dog and a highly reactive (+4) dog struggle to live harmoniously together?
-
How does frustration develop, and why can it sometimes escalate into reactivity or aggression?
-
How can the Canine Communication Compass help you recognize when a dog is becoming uncomfortable before they become defensive or threatening?
-
What subtle changes in posture, movement, and space-seeking behavior reveal a dog's emotional state?
-
How can you use the Moore S.C.A.L.E.™ to better understand your dog's sociability and identify compatible playmates or housemates?
-
What does healthy social communication look like between dogs?
-
How can you recognize when a dog needs support, distance, or a different social experience?
-
How can the Let's Talk Process™ help build social confidence while reducing the likelihood of conflict?
Over the coming months, I will continue adding new resources, video demonstrations, real-world case studies, webinars, and practical tools designed to help you better understand the space between dogs.
Thank you for being part of this learning community. My hope is that these resources help you see dogs with greater clarity, compassion, and understanding while supporting healthier relationships between dogs and the people who love them.
Whether you are working through the Moore S.C.A.L.E.™, practicing the Let’s Talk Process™, or simply learning to better understand your dog's communication, I am grateful to be part of your journey.
